The perfect dresses for a summer to fall transition

I am not sure if we will be experiencing any fall like weather here in Texas for a couple more months, but I most definitely am still feeling that craving for the crisp fall air and pumpkin everything…  Don't get me wrong I am so excited to keep our pool days going so I think I will be finding a happy medium between fall and summer for the next little bit! And thats basically what all of these dresses are! They are still light and flowy enough that you can stay cool in some wedge sandals or with the cool down of the weather pair them with some booties or knee high boots to cover a little more skin! A few things I look for in a dress this time of year are, long sleeves, short hem, mellow colors that aren't to bright and summery! The reason I like the short dresses are that you have some coverage with the long sleeves but that short hem gives you a lot of options to mix up sandals and boots!
I have linked a few of my favorite below! Thanks for following! xoxo

Back to School with So Cozy

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of So Cozy. All opinions are my own and not edited by the sponsor.

Back to school and Fall shopping have always been a big part of my childhood! We would take a few solid days and shop till we dropped, eat yummy foods, and spend quality girl time together. My mom and I along with my grandma would make it a big to do! I have always wanted to keep that tradition with my children and I am excited that Isabella is finally the age where she can start to have fun and enjoy the tradition with me! There is something about the end of summer that just gets me craving sweaters and boots. And although its doesn't look like its going to be cooling down as fast now that we are living in Texas we will just have to change it up a little this year!
I have listed a few of the items I love to add to the back to cool closet as well as some necessities to get your little one prepped and ready.
I am excited to share this amazing line by "SoCozy" I am honestly most excited about the lice repelling shampoo and leave in conditioner! Does anyone recall those pleasant days that the nurses would come in to the school and check everyone out for lice? I swear it haunted me.  I was itchy for hours, and I am sure for a week I was asking my mom to make sure there were no lice in my hair.  It completely traumatized me for some reason! So this puts my mind at ease sending Isabella into the school year with a little added piece of mind!

Outfit must haves:

Summer Layering

Summer layers are one of those things that most of us stay away from right? If its hot, less is better. But I have a few fun summer layering tips to step up your style game and keep you nice and cool!
I have so much fun with fall fashion because layering gives you so many options and different aspects to just one outfit, but lets not leave all the fun to the colder months!
I have 5 tips to summer layering to follow that will be easy to place into your closet!
1- Play with lengths… For example in this look here I am layering summer pieces (a long tank, short shorts) But just layering this fun tank/vest gives such a different look and really isn't adding anymore fabric! I was still nice and cool and I love how the long vest gives a fun edgy look! Another way to go about this look is some sheer pieces with solid pieces!
2- Use Lace Bralettes and Bandeaus… You can add a little personality and a sexy twist to just the most simple of tank tops or summer dresses! There are so many fun colors, you can make this look playful or completely date night sophisticated! My must have bralettes here
3- Kimonos… You can honestly never go wrong with a beautiful lace kimono, I love throwing them over a super casual tee shirt and cut off shorts, and most of my short summer dresses. Not to mention they can totally double as a gorgeous coverup! Every closet needs a neutral kimono like this one here
4- Jewelry… If it is simply just too hot, you can't go wrong with layering your jewelry! I love simple delicate pieces all stacked together and lately I love to throw on a black velvet choker and then some classic longer gold necklaces like this one here!
5- Neckerchiefs.. You will be seeing a lot of these in my upcoming looks! I love the statement that they make while being such an easy piece to throw on! There are so many fun prints and textures to play with.  One of my favorite ways to wear them is with a classic button up shirt, a fitted off the shoulder top, and of course with a summery t shirt dress! Some of my faves here!
I hope this helps you all and inspires some fun looks! Thank you for following!
